Bernard Gilbert Davis, 94, of MacArthur, passed away Monday, November 7, 2016. He was the son of the late Carl and Ella Hughes Davis. Born May 7, 1922 in Ohio. He was a member of Crab Orchard Church of the Brethren. Bernard enjoyed being outdoors, gardening and walking. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Frank Davis; sisters, Dorothy Williams and Nancy Bradley. Those left to cherish his memory include his living wife of 26 years, Thelma Davis; sons, Kenny Davis of WV and Jim Davis and wife Valarie of AZ; brother, Harry Davis of WV and several nieces and nephews. In honoring Bernard’s wishes, he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
