

Billy Gene Dickens, 80, of Naoma, West Virginia went to be with the Lord March 8th, 2017. He was born June 22nd, 1936 to the late Dessie Jane Cooper and Pete Dickens. He was a long time faithful member and dedicated deacon of Naoma Freewill Baptist Church. He was a dependable and hard worker in the coal mines for 33 years. He enjoyed hunting, spending time with family, worshipping the Lord and spreading God’s love everywhere he went. To know Billy was to love him. His sense of humor and contagious laugh brought great joy to everyone he was around. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years Linda, a daughter Tammy, his brothers and sisters: Vibert, Roy, Clyde, Pete Jr., Birdie, Agnes, and Barbara. He is survived by one brother, Denny Dickens. He leaves behind to cherish his wonderful memory, Lisa Ann and husband Keith Clay, Christine and Victor Rhodes of Cleveland, Oh., and Billie Jo and husband Mark Skaggs. Seven grandkids: Stephanie Lipford, Gregory Stover, Jonathan Rhodes, Ellie Grose, Michael Rhodes, Destiny Rhodes and Kaitlynne Rhodes. Seven great grandkids: Bethany, Isaac, Karlie, Draven, Lillie, Mikenley, and Layla. Many dear cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be at Arnett Chapel Community Church, 4472 Coal River Rd. Arnett, W.V. 6pm-9pm March 12th, 2017. Funeral Service will be 1:00pm, March 13th, 2017 at Arnett Chapel Community Church with Rev. David Cook, Pastor Larry Kinder and Pastor Earl Brewer officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. Pallbearers will be Mark, Gregory, Danny, Jordan, Jonathan, Keith, Steve, and Glenn Alan. Blue Ridge Funeral Home, 5251 Robert C. Byrd Drive, Beckley, has the honor of serving the Dickens family.
