Blue Ridge Funeral Home Beckley, WV Blanche Williams, 97 of Artie went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 24, 2014. Born October 5, 1916, she was a daughter of the late George and Sarah Batton Stover. Blanche enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She attended East Bank High School. Blanche was a Postmaster with the United States Postal Service, retiring in 1991. She worked for 43 years without missing one day of work or taking vacation days. She owned and operated the General County Store in conjunction with the post office. Blanche and her husband Kyle provided the opportunity for all of their children to be college educated. She was so proud that all of her children became teachers. She valued her family and continuously praised her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Blanche attended the Church of God at Artie, WV. In addition to her parents, Blanche is preceded in death by her husband, Kyle Williams; granddaughter, Rosemary Williams; brothers, Omega, Wilburn, Arnett, Arlington, Harlow, and Ralph; sisters, Lessie, Lula and Effie; half-brothers, George, Jr., Siebert and Shelby; half-sister, Elise; step-brothers, Wilbert, Willard and Ashford; step-sisters, Nora, Cora, and Mabel. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Dreama LaRoche and husband, LeRoy of Potomac, MD, son, Rome Williams and wife, Donna of Englewood, OH, daughter, Anna Hulett and husband, Bob of Hurricane, WV, son, Tex Williams of Daniels, WV; granddaughter, Kim Williams of Charleston, WV, granddaughter, Teresa Santichavalitskul of Hurricane, WV, granddaughter, Zivia Kocher and husband, Perry of Elgin, SC; grandson, Mickey Stover and wife, Chris of Daniels, WV; granddaughter, Jennifer LaRoche and Michael Bloise of Potomac, MD, granddaughter, Heather Haledjian and husband, Gregory of Potomac, MD; grandson, Adam Williams and wife, Megan of Orlando, FL; sister, Edith Workman of Dorothy, WV; half-sister, Freda Neal and husband, Skippy of Mansfield, OH; 9 great-grandchildren, great-grandsons, Sarit Santichavalitskul, Austin Kocher, Mathew Watts, and Zachary Haledjian; great-granddaughters, Danielle Santichavalitskul, Alexis Kocher, Hannah Haledjian, Kylie Bloise, and Julia Bloise. Services will be held at 12:00 PM Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley with Jerry Lawrence and Gary Maynor officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may gather with the family Wednesday from 11 – 12 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to: Hubbard Hospice House West at Thomas Hospital, 4605 MacCorkle Ave, SW, South Charleston, WV 25309. To the Family of Blanche Williams she was a remarkable woman as I grew up near her we would walk to her store almost daily to get milk and bread, she was good to all of us. Blanche was good to everyone in the community and helped a lot of people, she was a Lady that I always looked up to with the up most respect. she was a wonderful woman someone that all can be very proud of and it was gift to have known her.

passing. She was a wonderful woman and someone who I always admired. She was so kind to so many people over the years. She always encouraged me to pursue my education and helped me in many ways over the years. I will be forever grateful for that. A wonderful woman!!

There are few people that impacts ones life and Aunt Blanche was that type of person. I have very cherish memories of her. She always encourage me to continue my education. Some how a nickel, would buy me a soda and a bar of candy. I wish I could be there tomorrow but my heart is with you all.
