Born on November 11th, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Carlos J. Martin and Nora E. Smith Martin.
Connie attended Glen Leigh Elementary School, and then Shady Spring High School.
She spent many years working for Lowes. She also was owner of furniture businesses and a convenience store.
Connie was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Sew-Sew Sisters.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her siblings, Arlene M. Yarbourgh, Maxine R. Pendleton and Carlos Jennings Martin Jr.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Robin (Robert) Stewart and Chris (Kim) Ward; grandchildren, Megan (John) Hoskins, Andy (Stephanie) Stewart, Christian (Maddy) Ward and Hannah Ward; great-grandchildren, Lily Stewart, Jason Stewart, Allie Stewart, Parker Rice and Alyvia Rice.
Funeral Services for Connie will be on Monday, October 6th, 2025, at 1PM at Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Barber officiating. The family will receive visitors one hour prior.
The family will serve as pallbearers.
