Darrell R. Sharp

Born on July 26th, 1957, he was the son of the late Allen and Jean Sharp.

Darrell enjoyed much in life, including scuba diving with his brother Mike, hunting, and collecting cars. He devoted his life to his business, Affordable Builders, and also spent time working in the Milburn coal mines.

Darrell graduated from Collins High School in 1975 and then attended West Virginia Tech where he worked hard to obtain his bachelor’s degree in engineering.

Darrell was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Teresa Sharp, a brother, Gary Sharp Sr. and a sister, Gail Sharp.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Darrell R. Sharp II of Minden, WV; a daughter, Pearl R. Brink (Randy) of Berwick, PA; step-daughter, Tammy Spence of Nanticoke, PA; brothers Bill Sharp and Michael Sharp (Sue), both of Oak Hill; sister, Annetta Sharp of Oak Hill; sister-in-law, Angie Sharp of Minden; granddaughters, Teresa Sharp of Oak Hill, Jolene Sharp of Beckley, Madalyn Brink of Berwick, PA, Taylor Zawierucha of Nanticoke, PA and Tessa Spence of Nanticoke, PA; grandsons, Darrell Sharp III (Hailee) of Lawton, OK, James Sharp of Beckley, Hunter Baxter of Berwick, PA, Jayden Brink of Berwick, PA; great-granddaughter, Azalee M. Egli of Berwick, PA and future great-granddaughter, Tiffany Willow Sharp of Lawton, OK; Nieces, Mindi Sharp of Charleston, Kristin Sharp of Oak Hill, Juanita Jones of Oak Hill and Linda Smith of Oak Hill; nephews, Josh Sharp of Oak Hill, Gary Sharp II of Minden, Richard Terchek of North Carolina, Timothy Welch of Texas and Jesse Welch of North Carolina. Darrell is also survived by numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services for Darrell will be on Monday, February 10th, 2025, at 1 PM. The family will receive visitors one hour prior. Darrell will be laid to rest at Highlawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill following the service.

Bill Sharp, Hunter Baxter, Mike Sharp, Jayden Brink, Randy Brink, Anthony Salvador, Pearl Brink, Josh Sharp, and Darrell Sharp II will serve as pallbearers.

The Sharp family has entrusted Blue Ridge Funeral Home with the arrangements.
