Della Marie Tackett

Della Marie Tackett, 90, of MacArthur, died Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Raleigh General Hospital following a short illness. Born December 11, 1930 at Pikeville, KY; she was a daughter of the late Preston and Nannie Tackett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Hasel; four sisters, Noah, Sarah, Lindia, and Stella; and four brothers, Earl, Arnold, “Slim”, Cecil, and Onis. Those left to cherish her memory include her three daughters, Shirley Webb, Anna Rose Meadows, Jenny Sauls and husband, Billy; two sons, Onis Tackett and Kenneth Tackett and wife, Sherryl; 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Doris Lowe of Virgie, KY and Beatrice Tackett of Pikeville, KY. A private Family Funeral will be held at Blue Ridge. Her great-grandsons, Zachary Pack and Nick Fornash will be holding the services. Grandsons will be serving as pallbearers.
