James Floyd Goins, 65 of Prosperity, passed away, February 6, 2016 at Bowers Hospice House following a short illness. Born November 28, 1950 in Oceana, West Virginia, he was the son of the late William and Myrtle Kirk Goins. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Junior Edward Kirk of Beaver. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 33 years, Peggy Goins of Prosperity; sons, Shannan Micheal Goins of Mt. Nebo and Brandon Scott Goins of Prosperity; grandsons, Austin and Bradley Goins of Prosperity, and James and Marshall Goins of Mt. Nebo; sister, Helen Lambert of Crab Orchard. Friends may gather with the family Wednesday, February 10, 2015 from 12-2 pm at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. Services will be held Wednesday, February 10, 2015 at 2 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Delmas Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
