Kenneth Worley

Kenneth E Worley, age 73, of Gahanna, OH, passed away January 19, 2026, at Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, OH. He was the son of the late Fred and Delma (Hatcher) Worley of Coal City, WV. Kenneth was a 1970 graduate of Stoco High School. He served his country for 4 years in the US Marine Corps before becoming a coal miner. He then went on to serve and retire from the US Air Force. Kenneth loved the outdoors and travel. He loved the water, boating, water skiing, shooting, and above all else, fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving sister Linda Worley Taylor of Elkview, WV; sister-in-law Drema Basham Coffman and her husband Richard “Buster” Coffman of Virginia Beach, VA; and sister-in-law Linda Basham Smith of Coal City, WV. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of over 53 years, Karen Basham Worley, and his son David and his wife Deb of Gahanna, OH. He is also survived by grandchildren Hannah and Mason Worley; sister-in-law Sandy Basham Peterson-Egnor and Gary of Marshall, MI; brother-in-law Charles Taylor and his wife Harriet Taylor of Elkview, WV; and brother-in-law James R Smith of Coal City, WV.

A memorial service will be held February 1st at 1 PM at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, 5251 Robert C Byrd Drive, Beckley, WV, 25801 . Friends may also view an additional obituary at Schoedinger Funeral Home in Gahanna, OH.
