

Born at Johns Creek on November 24, 1938, he was the son of the late Basil Stover and Orpha Ester Williams Stover.
Kermit retired from General Motors after 33 years as a Quality Inspector. After retirement, he returned to West Virginia to live out the remainder of his days.
In his free time, Kermit spent his days bird watching, fishing, looking for arrowheads, telling stories, talking about the Bible, archery competitions, and hunting, as he was a great lover of bow hunting. He also enjoyed football and watching the Detroit Tigers.
He was of the Baptist faith and attended Riverview Baptist Church in Pembroke VA.
In addition to his parents, J Kermit was preceded in death by a son, Kermit Ray Stover Jr; brothers, Winnie Stover, Gary Stover, Basil Stover Jr., Jackie Stover, Blaine Stover, Keith Stover, and Roy Stover; Sisters, Aggie Stover, and Betty Stover-Hagy; and a brother-in-law, Paul Tote.
Those left to cherish his memory include Randy Stover, Ted Stover, Karen Keeley, Donna Lentz, Gerald Stover, Joseph Stover, and Buddy Schaver.
Funeral services for Kermit will be on Thursday, March 13, at 1pm at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors one hour prior. Kermit will be laid to rest at Burles Branch Cemetery following the service.
