

Kyle was a skilled machinist, who retired as a respected foreman from Phillips Machine Service.
He found joy in life’s simple pleasures; he enjoyed bowling, watching NASCAR, playing his guitar, and especially hunting at his beloved cabin—a place that brought him peace and joy.
Kyle was a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church. He will be remembered for his kind heart, strong work ethic, and devotion to his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Lois; his first wife, Gordenia “Denia”; and his siblings: Doug, Alma, Sada Steele (David†), and Darlene Clay (Eddie†).
He is survived by his loving wife, Drema; his caring sons: Venton (Debbie), Clinton (Robin†), and Rick (Amy); his cherished grandchildren: Kyleigh, Ella, and Sofia; his siblings: Vadaha Phillips (Ivan†), Lena Buchanan (Thomas), Shirley Bishop (Merle†), Goldie Shrewsbury (Curtis), Frances Canada (Jack†), and brother Doug’s wife Faye Shrewsbury.
In addition, Kyle was also loved by his 3 stepdaughters, their husbands, children, and grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, August 1, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at George Washington Shrewsbury Cemetery in Barkers Ridge, West Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests honoring Kyle's faith and community spirit with donations to Victory Baptist Church, PO Box 549, Beaver, WV 25813.
