Marshall loved deer hunting, outdoors, he was into nature big time, he was very proud of his country, he loved life, and loved his cabin on the river, and the mountains. He was a true Mountain Man. He was a 1964 graduate of Dupont High School in Belle, WV. He was a self employed master carpenter, and served his country that he loved proudly in the US Navy; he was a Vietnam Veteran. Marshall was a very proud and patriotic man.
Marshall adored the love of his life, his wife, Sharon Kay and adored his two daughters, Angela and Eliza; and was very proud of his grandchildren.
Marshall was preceded in death by his parents, Hilbert Lee Norman and Vada Marie Norman; a good friend, Bob Bradford and Thurman Workman; and his mother-in-law, Margaret Daniel.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 35 years that has been with him for 37 years, Sharon Kay Daniel-Norman; daughter, Eliza Lee Norman-Ballard and husband, Jason of Charleston, WV, Angela Norman-Hodges and husband, Dewayne of Charleston; grandsons, Issac Ballard, Garett Ballard, Matthew Smith, Zack Smith, and Theron Ballard all of Charleston; granddaughters, Kaylee Ballard, and Emily Smith both of Charleston, WV; a great granddaughter, Guiniver Ballard of Charleston; special family friends, Priscilla Ann Garrett of Prince, WV, Duane Lucas of Tad, WV, Jack and Leisa Bostic of Charleston, WV and Theresa Lonker of St. Albans, WV; Marshall loved his dogs, he was an animal lover and the dogs he left behind are Gemini Lee, Ellie Mae, Vada Marie, and Drax and his cat Mr. Spock.
A public visitation for Marshall will be held Thursday, May 9, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley, WV. A funeral service will occur Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 1:00 PM, at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley, WV with Pastor Betsy Evans officiating. Jason Ballard, Dewayne Hodges, Issac Ballard, Garrett Ballard, Theron Ballard, and Matt Smith will be serving as pallbearers. Following the services Marshall will be laid to rest at the Pettry-Adkins Cemetery, Naoma, West Virginia.
He will be missed, loved, and forever cherished by his loving wife, Sharon Kay.
