

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Bishop; her sisters, Bethelene Setser and her husband Jimmy, and Yvonne Martin and her husband Curtis.
Martha is survived by her loving husband, Charles Brown, with whom she shared 31 happy years together. She leaves behind her beloved son, William Bishop, and daughter-in-law Tina; her cherished granddaughter, Rachel Kidd, and her husband Jesse; and her precious great-granddaughter, Sylvia Kidd.
She is also survived by her stepsons whom she loved dearly, Larry Brown and his wife Lisa, and Bruce Brown and his wife Rhonda; adored step-grandchildren Tim Brown and his wife Tabatha, Ashley McCoy and her husband Joshua, Bethany Jarrell and her husband Carl, and Joshua Brown and his wife Alyssa; and precious step-great-grandchildren Jackson, Noah, and Lilly Brown, Josey McCoy, Cayden Randolph, and Reagan Brown.
Additional survivors include her sisters-in-law, Juanita Goldsberry and Brenda Brown.
Martha found joy in life’s simple blessings. She loved camping, watching hummingbirds, sitting peacefully on the porch, and caring for her dog Misty, along with the many beloved pets she had throughout her life. Her gentle spirit, quiet strength, and unwavering faith touched all who knew her and will be deeply missed.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
Funeral Services for Martha will be on Monday, January 26th, 2026 at 1 PM at Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Larry Brown and Bruce Brown officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior. She will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens following the service.
