Mary Sue Obugene, 80, of Beckley, passed away October 12, 2015. Born December 6, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie Adkins and Nina Ewing Adkins. Mary was a member of Cranberry Community Baptist Church. She was a very loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was loved by everyone who knew her. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren In addition to her parents; she is preceded in death by her husband Paul Obugene and grandson, Isaac Paul Brown. Those left to cherish her memory are son, John Obugene and wife Polly; daughter, Treasa Brown and fiancé Roger “Sam” Jones; grandchildren, Crystal Bone, Jonathan Obugene, Jessica Sargent, Ashleigh Obugene, and Hannah Marie Brown; great grandchildren, Mason Lee Kincaid, Isabella Brown Sargent and Chevy Ice Brown; sisters, Irene Cook, Jewell Rawls and husband Jerry, and Elizabeth Navarro and husband Ray; brothers Ruben Adkins and wife Mary, and Floyd Adkins, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside services will be held 12:30 pm Friday, October 16, 2015 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Pastor Roger E. Pauley officiating.
