Patricia Ann Whitten, 74, of Beckley, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021.
Born January 13, 1947 in Cabin Creek; she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Virginia Slack Hurst.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Hurst and a sister, Isabel Thompson.
She graduated from East Bank High School and retired from Verizon with 30 years of service. She was a member of the Crab Orchard Baptist Church and a member of the choir which she loved.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Lindsey Whitten; her sisters, Peggy West, Geraldine Hurst, and Llewellyn Thompson; step-sons, Derek Whitten and wife, Belinda of Oceana and Darren Whitten and wife, Kathy of Saulsville; grandchildren, Maegan Whitten of Johnson City, TN, Travis Whitten of Lexington Park, MD, Chelsea Garris and husband, Colton of Daniels, Zach Whitten and wife, Ali of Saulsville, and Tanner Whitten of Saulsville; great-grandson, Grayson Garris of Daniels; several nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.
A service to celebrate the life of Patricia Ann Whitten will be held 12:00PM Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley with Pastor David Bush and Pastor Dewey Lowe officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley. Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.
Friends may gather with the family from 11:00AM until time of the service Thursday at the funeral home.
