He is preceded in death by his sister Martha Lynn Canterbury and his step-grandson Camron Eugene Reichard.
Paul is survived by his wife of 16 years, Mary F. Canterbury; mother Patricia Canterbury; father Clayton Canterbury; brother Thomas W. Canterbury & his partner Angela Reichard, their daughter Martha Canterbury; 2 children Kari Dye & her husband Dustin and Paul Canterbury Jr. and his wife Roxanne; 4 step-children Richard, Angela, Michelle, and Jesse; 4 step-grandchildren Harleigh, Chris, Cameron, and Brayden; and many extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Paul worked for Reedy Construction and was a Nascar enthusiast.
The family will receive friends for visitation at the Blue Ridge Funeral Home on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 11 am – 1 pm. A funeral service will follow at 1 pm. Paul will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens by his nephew Joey, the Reedy Construction Crew Jeff, Kevin, JohnPaul, Josh, and Cody.
