

Born on January 12th, 1942, he was the son of the late Mescal and Wilson Murphy.
A jack of all trades, Randall could fix anything, and it was known, that if you couldn’t fix something, call Randall because he could fix it. Randall was a hard worker and devoted many years of his life to the coalmines, as a miner and an electrician. In his later years, Randall spent his time with his family, his garage and his truck. He had many friends and will be missed by all.

Those left to cherish the memory of Randall include his wife, Yulaine Murphy; sons, Randy (Debbie), and Curtis Hylton; a grandson, Randy (Jackie); great-grandchildren, Joseph, Easton, and Sarah; a brother, Richard (Karen); sisters, Pat Harris and Della Murphy; nieces, Debbie Mcgraw, Billie, Stephanie, Shellie and Renda; nephews Ben Murphy, Asa Harris, Eric Hawkins, and Derrick Tucker; a adopted grandson in heart, Owen, who often called Randall, “Papi Grubb”; four special friends, Jim and Patsy Mills, Rita Crawford, and Barbara Coalson; and pets, Mia and Cupcake.
Funeral services for Randall will be on Monday, March 4th, 2024 at 1PM at Sunset Hills Missionary Baptist Church, with Pastor Mike Rose officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Burial will follow at Coal City Community Cemetery.
The family request that no flowers be sent to the services.
