Richard Carl Owens 67, of Beckley went home to be with Lord on Wednesday December 7, 2016 following an accident. Born April 26, 1949 in Washington D.C. he was the son of Robert Owens of Fern Park Florida, and Bernita Earp of Nanticoke Maryland. Richard loved spending time with his friends, and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert Owens. In addition to his parents those left to cherish his memory include his wife Barbara Owens, one daughter Rebecca Walker and her husband Phillip, his two granddaughters Olivia and Savannah; his brother Ron Owens, and a host of extended family, and beloved friends. In keeping with Richard’s wishes he will be cremated. A celebration of Richards’s life will be Sunday, December 11, 2016 at 2:00pm at J.C.’s club in Stanaford. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family.
