Robert "Bobby" Wayne Austin

Robert “Bobby” Wayne Austin 58 of Rhodell passed away Friday, March 6, 2015. Born July 8, 1956, he was the son of the late George and Jeanette Austin and surviving parents, James and Judy Shrewsbury of Bunell, FL.

Robert enjoyed being in the great outdoors, hunting, fishing, working on cars and gardening. He loved spending time with his grandkids and had a new found passion of riding horses. Robert was a coal miner for 37 years.

Robert is preceded in death by his brothers, Billy Austin, Tombo Austin, Eckie Vest and sister, Sheila Hinegar.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Victoria “Vickie” Smith Austin of Rhodell; sons, Robert Dewayne Austin and wife, Melissa of Rhodell, Joshua Lee Austin and wife, Heather of Rhodell, Michael Anthony Austin and companion, Tiffany Hull of Crab Orchard, William Christopher Austin of Rhodell; adopted son, Dallas Mark Austin; adopted daughter, Brooke Lynn Austin; granddaughters, Summer, Alyssa and Alexis; grandsons, Doug and Ethan; brothers, Jimbo, Kenny, Roy and Jay; sisters, Dottie and Andrea; mother-in-law, “Maw” Della Hayworth.

Services will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, March 13, 2015 at Williams Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Sophia. Burial will follow at Bud Cemetery.

Friends may gather with the family from 11 – 12 PM at the funeral home.
