Roger entered this world on February 19, 1960, in Beckley, WV, making him the 2nd youngest son to Mose Norman Randall of Anstead, WV and Lelia Mae Randall of Montgomery, WV.
Rog was one of the hardest working men you would ever meet. If he wasn’t at a job he was helping a friend or family member fix a sink, assist with tinkering on your vehicle or moving household goods. He would stop everything to lend a helping hand. His soul was pure and his heart was golden. Rog could walk into a dark room and light it up with his smile. Even in tough times he always knew how to throw in a joke which was always followed by his contagious and wonderful raspy laugh.
Throughout his life he found excitement in shooting guns and fishing, but what brought him the most joy was meeting his life partner of 26 years, Marie and her three children. Rog never had children of his own, but that didn’t stop him from loving ‘E’, Des and Kay like his own. His excitement for his hobbies soon turned into watching his kids play sports, watching his kids start families and over the last 26 years he has grown to be the best Bonus Dad, Grandpa and Fur-dad around.
Rog made it a point to tell everyone he encountered how much they meant to him. His compassion for life is something that is inspirational. He had a knack for making people feel special. He would call the women in his life Doll and the men brothers. He never missed an opportunity to call on special days, send a message or leave a voicemail to ensure you knew you were loved. If there is one thing to learn from Rog, is to live in the moment, don’t pass up an opportunity to show-up, never leave without telling someone you love them and never…ever stop laughing.
Rog was the life of the party and his wish is that we celebrate his life, turn the country music as loud as we can and fill the room with laughter by telling stories of him. The world may be a little less brighter right now, but if you had the chance to be loved by Rog then know you are special and will be blessed for a lifetime.
Roger is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Robert George Randall. He is survived by his life partner, Marie Vaught, his son Edward Vaught II and wife Holly of Arlington, VA, Desiree Ratliff and husband John of Beckley, WV and Kayla Feller and husband Derek of Beckley, WV. In addition to his children he leaves behind his grandchildren, Makiya and Colten Caron, Haley Ratliff, Konner and Kaiden Vaught, and River “Little Man” Feller. His siblings Mose Norman Randall II Skelton, WV, Faye and Dave Reid of Cleveland, OH, Roselyn and Freddie Williams of NY, Eva and Larry Persinger of Beckley, WV, Shirley and Leon Crowe of Beckley, WV, Drema and Charles Banks of Beckley, WV and Donnie and Lisa Randall of Raleigh, WV.
