On November 14, 2016, we lost the greatest man we ever knew, Russell William Pennington. He is the son of the late Bill Pennington and Helen Miller Pennington. Russell was 68 years old and a retired coal miner. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Charlie and Florence Alice Painter; sister-in-law, Sheryl Ann Miller; brother-in-law, Gerald (Butch) Painter. Those left to cherish his memory include the love of his life, Colleen Pennington; sons, Bill Pennington and Richard (Tammy) Pennington; daughters, Lori (Calvin) Bickford, Shawn (Alan) Lesher. He adored his ten grandchildren, Tyler Bickford, MaCayla Pennington, Chloe Pennington, Jakob Pennington, Hailley Lesher, Quentin Lesher, Lykota Goodson, Alexis Bickford, Laynie Pennington, Mickey Pennington. He was overjoyed with his great-grandson, Dawson James Workman and many nephews and nieces. Please join us for a service of remembrance on Friday, November 18, 2016 from 5-8pm at Grace Baptist Church in Fayetteville.
