

Sandra Grace Walker McGrady died on June 7, 2025 following a valiant battle with cancer at her home in South Carolina. She was 82 years old. She was born to Daley and Grace Walker Of Josephine, WV where she spent her childhood. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Roger McGrady, and their son, Thomas Russell McGrady.
She was a graduate of Stoco high school in 1960. She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she held many callings and had many friends. She also was a long-time receptionist for Dr. John White, D.D.S.
She is survived by a daughter Loren Carrigan and husband Sean of Chapin, South Carolina, with whom she made her home, a daughter Rhonda Hazuka and husband Greg of Shady Spring,WV, a daughter-in-law Debra Glasco-McGrady of Chilhowie, Virginia, her beloved grandchildren Dennis Carrigan, Taylor Carrigan and husband Seth Blanton, Sarah Carrigan and husband Jack Strickland, Sydney Hazuka and fiancé Isaac Parker, and Grey Hazuka. Her sister and best friend Gale Johnson and husband Dewey, and a brother Dale Walker along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was a beloved “Granny Mac” character where she went to libraries and schools and read her self-authored books to the children who never ceased to show her their love with hugs and kisses.
The family would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the hospice team for providing kind, compassionate, and superior care.
