Born on January 3rd, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Goldie Facello.
Joann was born in Welch and moved to Maple Fork with her 11 siblings. She was an active Christian and loved the Lord. She raised 15 children, 10 brothers, one sister, and 4 of her own. She was a wonderful mother.
In addition to her parents, Joann was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lorenzo Mira; a son, Rick Ellison; a daughter, Debra Ellison; and 11 siblings.
Those left to cherish her memory include a daughter, Marianna Holbrook and husband Curtis; a son, Butch Ellison; grandson, John Kania, and friend Chris Buck, grandson, Daniel Ellison; and a granddaughter, Amber Ellison.
There will be a celebration of life for Joann on Tuesday, June 17th, 2025, at 1PM at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. Joann will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens following the service.
