On June 11, 2019; Andres "Andy" G. Ben, passed away peacefully. Born in Washington DC, and graduated from DeMatha Catholic High School in 1971. He was a lifetime member of Laurel Volunteer Rescue Squad-49, employed as a paramedic at State Aviation Administrator at BWI Airport. Hired as the first paramedics in the group. Andy retired as a Lieutenant paramedic in February 2016. Beloved husband of Kathy Ben for 40 years; devoted father of Sara Lamb and her husband Jon, Becky Ben, and Mary Ben; cherished grandfather of Thomas Lamb; loving brother-in-law of Michelle Ben; dear uncle of Adam and David Ben. Andy is preceded in death by his parents Alexander and Franziska Ben; his brother Alex Ben, his sister Renate Ben, and his In-laws Eileen and William Schoolfield.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 4pm. Interment Private.
