Donna Mae Gartner gained her heavenly reward and met her Lord and Savior Jesus face to face on Monday, April 27th, 2020.
Donna was born in Baltimore, Maryland on January 9th, 1949 to Harvey and Dorothy Weese. Donna is survived by her children David Lewis (spouse Michelle) and Jennifer Michele (spouse Jeff). She is also survived by her three grandchildren and pride and joy: Joshua, Kelsey and Kara. She is survived by her adoring sister Deanna Kruba and niece and nephew Chip and Victoria Kruba.
Donna worked for many years as an Administrative Assistant. She worked for Lever Brothers in Dundalk, MD and for many years at Cristal Global in Hunt Valley, MD as well as at their research center in Glen Burnie, MD. Donna loved her job. She gave her all to everything she did. She loved the friendship and camaraderie with her co-workers and created lifelong friendships. She was a wonderful employee and received countless awards and accolades over the years.
Donna had a passion for Jesus. She told everyone she came in contact with about her love for Him. She loved her home church, Eastern Assembly of God in Dundalk MD. She was very active in several of the ministries there. She loved to serve others and could often be found taking meals to people and visiting shut-ins. Donna loved people and her life mission was to show kindness to everyone around her especially to the less fortunate and hurting. Donna claimed Isaiah 43:18-19 as her life verse “Forget the former things, do not dwell on the past. See I am doing a new thing”
We, as her family, wish to carry on Donna’s legacy of kindness and generosity. We grieve now but are assured that we will be together again one day. We can only imagine what a day that will be.
Interment will be at the Bel Air Memorial Gardens. A public memorial service will be held at Eastern Assembly of God. The date for this will be announced at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Donna’s name to the church she greatly loved. Eastern Assembly of God, 7923 Wise Avenue Dundalk, MD 21222.
