On April 13, 2025, Frank John Holmes “Johnny”, age 88 of Silver Spring Maryland. Frank was born in Ohio to Frank Harley and Margaret Mary Holmes; devoted father of Sabrina Holmes, Peter Holmes, and Hunter Holmes; loving grandfather of Sophie and Naomi; dear brother of the late Deborah Holmes. Also survived by his former wife and friend Mary Ann Holmes, and stepfather to Tammy and Wade.
Frank loved the water and all of the environs of the Chesapeake Bay and their inhabitants. Frank was also a bit of an entrepreneur owning and running a transportation and valet service, as well as running a restaurant for a sometime. His spare time he enjoyed reading the Washington Post for his daily updates, and is a retired veteran from the Air Force as 2nd LT.
Inurnment will be on a future date at Arlington National Cemetery.
