On January 7, 2017, George Clifford Hunt, Sr. succumbed to a long illness. George was preceded in death by his beloved wife Dorothy Edna Hunt (nee Gormley), his brother John Hunt, and his close cousin Leo Thurlow. He is survived by his brother Walter Hunt of Forest Hill, his son George Clifford Hunt, Jr. of Houston, Tx, his daughter-in-law Patricia Hunt, his daughter Regina Marie Walter of Abingdon, his son-in-law Jeffrey Walter, and his adoring granddaughter, Elena Marie Hunt of Houston. George was an active parishioner at St Ignatius Parish of Hickory, Md. He retired from Harford County Public Schools in 2003, having last worked at Ring Factory Elementary.
Relatives and friends will gather at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc. 610 W. MacPhail Rd. Bel Air, MD 21014 on Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Ignatius Historic Church on Thursday at 10:30 AM. Interment Parkwood Cemetery.
