Jake was the best thing to happen to me he taught me how to survive and not give up hope and even though we were distant he was always so right there for me when I needed him I think about him everyday and I miss him so much and I still wish that this was just some really bad joke I miss you darling I especially miss that goofy ass smile of yours

You know that no matter where I end up in life, I know you'll always be watching over me. Trying to help guide me as best you can... At the end of the day, we'll ALWAYS be brothers. This life. An the next. Til were both 6 feet, 6 deep. Til our caskets creek. And nothing can ever take away all the amazing times & memories we got to make with everyone... I love & miss you, Jacob G. Davis. Jacob was literally the closest person I've ever had in my life. We became the best of friends the very first day we met in 8th grade. We've been through literally everything you could possibly imagine together. Good and bad. Highs and lows. We've been through it all together and I'll ALWAYS remember ALL the amazing times, memories and experiences we've shared together closest to my heart, brother. I may have been older than you by few months, but I've always considered you the big brother. You were so wise for being as young as you were. You've always been like that tho. Your one of the few people who NEVER ONCE CHANGED UP on your friends. You've ALWAYS been the same loyal, goofy, caring/loving, crazy, hardheaded/stubborn, smart, brutally honest and wise people from the very beginning. You can not find those kind of qualities in people anymore. Especially all of them in one. It's most as rare as finding a Charzard stomping down the street(inside joke) Jacob was the most caring, loyal and loving person I've ever met in my life. He was the person who taught me what the word "Loyalty" truly meant. There was a time in life where i thought we'd always be there for one another. And now that he's gone and I'll never get to see him again, it  be one of the few regrets i have in my life. I wish i would have listened to you and jus came home when you asked me too... You knew the road i was going down and didn't want to see me go that route. I wish you could have moved out to Missouri with me to get clean.. But i understand that you had a job as a father to be there for your son. I honestly think that if i would have never moved out to Missouri that we both would have been gone a long time ago... Its the harsh truth tho. The path that we we're both going down was the worse path we could have taken. We had tried to get clean a few times together. It'd work out for a few weeks but then as soon as one of us slipped and messed up, here comes the other one right along with him...

Jacob was one of my closest and best friends for over 13 years.  He was the funniest, sweetest, most loyal and big hearted person I’ve ever met. He was a constant light in my life, especially over the last few months and I had gotten used to talking to him daily. I will miss his sense of humor, his confidence, his laugh and his voice. I pray that he now has the peace that he had been looking for for so long. He changed my life, and will always have a piece of my heart. Rest In Peace Jacob
