

James “Lew” Lewis Kane, Jr., age 68, of Fawn Grove, PA passed away on August 11, 2025. Born in Baltimore, MD he was the son of the late James Lewis Sr. and Betty (Robinson) Kane. He enjoyed playing softball, bowling, and watching the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Kane is survived by his wife, Jacqueline A. Kane; children, Jennifer L. (Michael) Stanko, Robin L. (Salvatore Jr.) Culotta, Jamie L. (Scott) Hammerbacher; grandchildren, Andrew M. Stanko, Ryan J. Stanko, Jackson L. Stanko, Dominic N. Culotta, and Madison J. Hammerbacher; siblings, Ann (Patrick) Dorn, BJ (Bill) Cahill, Kandy (Charlie) Schisler, Lee (Jayne) Kane. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and family and friends.
A receiving of friends will be held Friday, August 15, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, MD 610 W. MacPhail Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014,followed by a memorial service that will begin at 5:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to Jarrettsville Gardens 3825 Federal Hill Road, Jarrettsville, MD after the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in memory of Mr. James Kane to the Johns Hopkins Department of Surgery in support of Comprehensive Transplant Center.
