Jason Thaddeus Conca, 46 of Bel Air, Maryland passed away suddenly from heart complications. This loss was completely unexpected leaving family and friends shocked and deeply saddened. Even though a failing heart took him away from this world, his loving heart left an amazing impact. He will be truly missed in so many ways.
Jason was a devoted and dedicated father to his two beautiful children, Leo and Gigi. They were the center beam of his life, and he gave everything a father could give. He and his wife Jen were college sweethearts and were together for 25 years. They shared many interests and passions such as animal rescue, clubbing, shopping for fashion sunglasses and shmedium shirts, finding humor in life, and most importantly raising their babies. As any successful 46-year-old fitness meathead does, Jason enjoyed medieval strategy games and mentored this in Leo and Gigi. He very much fostered and supported his children’s many interests and hobbies and embraced and appreciated every experience that he shared with his family. Jason did not take life for granted, nor did he let opportunities to share his passions with those around him slip by.
In the end, Jason proved that it’s not the years in your life that count, but what you do with the time that you have. In his short life, Jason served with the 3rd Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment during Operation Enduring Freedom, established a successful business career in his civilian life, prided himself on living by example, enjoyed mentoring young talent, was a devoted and protective son, lived by the code of “leading from the front”, and loved his family fiercely.
Jason is survived by his wife and two children, his mother and best friend Lorraine, his father, and his brother and sister.
Anyone who knows Jason would agree that flowers are just not his speed (you might run the risk of a flared nostril toward the offensive aroma). Just like Jason lived his life, he would rather the time, energy, and money go towards a higher level. So in lieu of flowers, please donate to the non-profit organization Tunnel to Towers t2t.org on his behalf.
In Jason’s abbreviated time on Earth, he made many connections and friends from far and wide. His family would love to keep his memory and energy vivid and alive. Please consider leaving any story or anecdote- funny, serious, happy, etc. of a time where you interacted with Jason that sticks in your mind. You may email the stories to: [email protected]. These stories will be compiled for the family in the future so don’t hold back! They will be so very appreciated and cherished. Thank you.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021, 10:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Church (Bel Air, 141 N. Hickory Ave., Bel Air MD 21014.
