Dear Chris, I am deeply sorry to hear of Karen's passing.  Please know that I know how much she meant to you and how proud of her you must be.  She was quite the lady, and accomplished so much.  My prayers are with you and your family.  May God keep you all close at this sad time.

I am so very deeply sorry for the entire Dawson Family during this very difficult time.  I have known Karen for approximately 8 - 10 years here at APG/EA.  I literally just found out about Karen's passing this morning (23 March 2015) and I am still very shocked by the news.
My conversations with Karen told me that she was a very strong person all around, (she and I both served in the Air Force,so I knew Karen was tough as nails!)
So, the take away from all of this is that we cannot take anything for granted while we are here on Earth as we do not know how long we have to live, so every day should be treasured with family and friends and  not to put things on hold for "another time to do".

We are sorry we did not hear about Karen's passing in time to make the service.  John and I were deeply moved by her courageous fight against the cancer that finally took her from us. I was so sorry to hear this sad news.   You've been in my thoughts and was hoping things would turn around but that was not meant to be which tells me that God has a plan for you.  I'll miss seeing you at the prayer breakfasts at Stewart and will remember working together, our trip to Seattle and Alaska with fond memories and your quirky eating habits .  Rest in peace, friend. So sorry about your loss. Found out yesterday and it just floored me. I had the good fortune to had worked with Karen. I worked at the Pentagon  and if I ever needed financial information on a program Karen was the one to go to. I have since retired so hadn't talked to her in a while but she was a fine lady and now with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She will be surely missed and will be in my mind and heart forever. God bless you all in this trying time.
