My cousin, Kim, and I grew up together, even though we lived several miles apart - our parents and grandparents came together for holidays or just to gather and eat and eat, and sit around the table and talk - and Kim and I'd have sleep overs when we could ... what fun we had.  Those memories have stuck with me since then, and are there forever. We would laugh ourselves silly be it at her house or mine, or our "Gran's" house - for hours, telling stories, making fun of "stuff", and found joy in the simplest of things be it playing in Gran's basement, rooting around in her attic, playing "bar", or dress-up during her trips to visit us in Hagerstown - it was always great and I loved it - magical times.  Kim was smart and funny, witty, popular, caring about others...and had the most beautiful hair! Her desire to be a nurse was so strong, and inspiring, and I remember that about her.  She go to do what she wanted to do in her profession, and did it well, obviously leaving lasting impressions for so many.  She loved her parents and grandparents so much - I remember that about her, too, and that caring showed through her actions, and just the way she was with everyone.  Why God chose her, we don't know, but will assume it was for a very, very special reason - she is continuing to do do great work by caring for and inspiring others, no doubt.  I think of her often and long for the days when life was simpler, no family gaps in time, but can be assured that she's happy, smiling, and at peace, joining all those who have left us - they are together watching over the rest of us. I am saddened to know that Kim lost her battle to the cancer she so bravely fought. During her last year she often revealed to me her concerns about Alex and her parents and how she felt her health concerns were affecting them. That was Kim, always concerned about others, putting their wellbeing before her own. I had the pleasure of working with her for two years at the end of my career but we stayed in touch and often met for lunch. I sure do miss my friend. She had so much still to offer and enjoy. Her true joy was Alex and I wish him a happy and fruitful life. She loved being a mother, she was such a kind, caring and good person. She was a dedicated nurse who helped change many lives for the better. I will miss my friend but I understand why God wanted her.  Prayers for her lovely parents, Alex and all her loved ones.

I met Kim when her son Alex, and my son Ben, were attending St. Margaret’s School together. We were always good friends, but we became much closer when the boys started high school, many years ago. Kim was such an incredible person. ALWAYS a joy to be around. She was just someone that you genuinely wanted to be around!!! Love and miss her very much.

I was a nurse who worked with Kim on 3SE at Franklin Square Hospital. She was an excellent nurse. When I left there, I went to work at HCHD and a few years later Kim also started working at HCHD. Even though we never worked in same area at HCHD, I always enjoyed seeing her in the hallways, etc.  She always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. She was a very special person. My deepest sympathy to her entire family and closest friends. 

I am very saddened to hear about Kim’s passing. I worked with her and know first-hand what an amazing nurse and person she was. She truly cared about so many, was my go-to because of her extensive knowledge, and always made herself available when I needed her. She always had a big smile on her face every time we saw each other. She was a very special woman and will be missed. Deepest sympathy to her family and friends. 

Kim was a beautiful person inside and out . She will be missed by many. I was a coworker at the Health department in Bel Air.  She always had a smile and was willing to help everyone.
