Madeline Glenn Day, age 99, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025. Born on October 20, 1925 to John and Mary Glenn. Madeline was raised in Fallston, MD by her mother after losing her father at only six months of age. Her mother Mary did an amazing job as a single parent raising four children, with the supportive help of her aunts and uncles, which meant so much to Madeline growing up. She went on to graduate from Bel Air High School in June of 1942; and immediately went to work with Edgewood Arsenal from July 1942 until May 1951.
Madeline married Jerry Day, and they were together for 50 years until his passing in September of 2001. They have two children, Jay Day and his wife Kathy Tosi, and Greg Day and his wife Allison Day. She is the loving grandmother of Collin Day and his wife Kallie, Katie Francis and her husband Jace. She was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Madeline was preceded in death by her siblings Ernie, Mill, and Lu.
A visitation for Madeline will be held at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc., 610 W MacPhail Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014 on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.A Funeral will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Saint Mark Roman Catholic Church, 2407 Laurel Brook Rd, Fallston, MD 21047. Interment will follow at St. John the Evangelist, 13305 Long Green Pike, Hydes, MD 21082.
