

Marc Daniel Farthing, age 42, died suddenly on Monday, September 29, 2014 in Abingdon, Maryland. He is survived by his wife, Angela Farthing, his parents Sharon Hemming (nee Spath) and Danny Farthing, step-father Richard Campbell, sister Kellee Carr, brother Matthew Farthing, brother-in-law Arnold Carr, niece Ashley Carr, niece Regan Carr, nephew Josh Carr, best friend Mike Ripper and his five loving dogs Roxie, Lucy, Cacey, Ginger and April. Marc was born on April 19, 1972 in Spruce Pine, North Carolina. He graduated from West Brunswick High School and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He was a proud member of Phi Kappa Tau, and enjoyed the friendship of numerous fraternity brothers. He was employed in the tennis industry and was well respected by his colleagues. Marc enjoyed corvettes, animals, Indian artifacts, history, metal detecting, the beach, trout fishing, bird-watching, classic rock and bluegrass music. He volunteered for Dachshund Rescue of North America providing foster care for homeless dogs. Marc was very generous and had huge heart, he touched many lives with his kindness. He was loved by so many, and we are grateful to know that he is at peace with his Heavenly Father.
