Mark Joseph Kilchenstein

Mark Joseph Kilchenstein, 82 of Parkville passed away Friday, October 6, 2023. He was born January 18, 1941, in Baltimore, Maryland. Mark was the loving husband of Christine B. Kilchenstein (nee Bollinger) for 59 years. He was the son of the late Francis C. Kilchenstein and Gertrude Stembler Kilchenstein.

Besides his wife, he is survived by siblings Regina Maust of PA and Carol Debaufer of TN. Also survived by children Gail K. Mayr of Mount Airy, Mark J. Kilchenstein Jr. and wife Colleen of Phoenix, MD, John C. Kilchenstein and wife Stephanie of Bel Air, son-in-law James T. Odom, Jr. of Churchville and 8 wonderful grandchildren. He is predeceased by daughter Lynn K. Odom and siblings Patricia K. Rock, Francis C. Kilchenstein III and John M. Kilchenstein.

A world traveler during his working years, Mark enjoyed the quiet of retirement, where he spent many a day on his tractor and in his gazebo where he was known to have hosted a party or two. He could build or fix just about anything and cherished time with his family especially while at the beach or lake, on the golf course or at Ravens games.

A receiving of friends will be held Tuesday, October 17th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Schimunek Funeral Home, 610 W MacPhail Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014. A memorial mass will occur Wednesday, October 18th at 10:30am at St. Mark, 2407 Laurel Brook Rd, Fallston, MD 21047.
