I knew Silvio at BGE while doing fire testing at the substations.What a great guy! Also,would see him on occasion at the Italian Festivals in Little Italy.We talked about retirement but then I heard he was having some problems. I did not know how bad off he was but am so sorry to hear of his passing.

Silvio had the biggest heart of any person that I have ever known. I had worked with Silvio for many years but Silvio was more of a friend than a co-worker. The world has lost a great one. Heaven is the winner. My condolences go out to the family and close friends of Silvio. He will be missed but never forgotten.

Linda,we do not personally know each other.  I remember watching all 8 of you walk into St. Dominic's every Sunday looking like they were having a family portrait.  I watched as your family filled the pew and I would marvel at how well behaved they were.  I have run into 2 of your daughters and they mentioned that their Dad was not doing well.  That was probably 7 yrs. ago, at least. From the other enteries and seeing your children grow up, I am sure Sil is in heaven,watching over all of you.  That's what fathers do. I hope your jouuney through this grieving period is easy on you, and blend them with all your good memories.  From ages 10 and 11, you certainly must have many good memories.  God Bless You.

I too met Sil while our sons played baseball at Hamilton.  What I remember most about Sil is that whenever you were around him you always walked away with a smile on your face.  We will always remember the scoreboard installation at Hamilton and his "race" with John Burke.. God bless Sil and our prayers are with his family.

I first met Sil when our sons were playing baseball at Hamilton Little League. As others have mentioned he was someone you knew and were comfortable with almost instantly. We had great times at the fields that I will never forget. When I decided to built this elaborate shed he voluntered to help and was there every evening and Saturday till it was done. He was such a kind and giving man... larger than life. He was always there for anyone who needed him. There are good men, there are great men, and there is Sil Restivo. My heartfelt condolences to Linda, family and friends.

Vincent....  we loved your Dad and his very vivacious personality.  He looked out not only for his own children but also for their friends...  like you and Scott.  We are deeply saddened by his loss.  It is like losing a family member.  We are praying for your Mom and your siblings and the grandchildren.  We love you Vince.

Sil was a mentor to all who worked with him , to this day I still hold  firm to the principles he instilled in me .As a friend and colleague at BGE he led by example in both work and as a Family Man . Linda my thoughts and prays are with you and your family during this difficult time.

What a wonderful Angel Heaven has gained!!  My Uncle Sil was one of the strongest men I've ever known.  He worked hard both in his profession and at home as a father and husband.  I do believe that while we are mourning the loss of our husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, the others who have gone before us are rejoicing to meet him at the Gates of Heaven. Sil was a decicated employee and friend at BGE, he had a incredible drive to be the best at his job. In his early years when he was a instructor he helped our young trainees understand responsibility and discipline to be successful in their job. He was always there if you needed help.

But his passion in life was his family. He loved to talk about his family, you just knew how much he loved them. My thoughs and prays are with his family during this difficult time.

Silvio and Linda met when they were 10 & 11 yrs. old. Became boyfriend & girlfried at 14 yrs. He has been a good husband & father to my sister, nieces & nephews. And has been in our family for 40 yrs. We had many good memories with him he will be missed so very much.  He suffered so much for the last 10 yrs. and may he rest in peace. WE Love you Sil.

Silvio & I were very passionate about what we did best, we argued often & with pride...loving every minute of it. He could strike up a conversation with any one, any where at any time. I can think of no better man on this earth than Sil. He was a true family man. I extend my sincerest regards to the Restivo family. It has been my privilage to know your husband & father.

Uncle Silvio was and always will be in my heart. I loved him very much. He NEVER had an unkind word to say about anyone. He was very protective of all of his family not just of his wife & kids. But , all of his neices & nephews.He would give the shirt off of his back to a stranger. His suffering was so unkind to him. He would not have wanted to live the rest of his life the way he was. I know he is in heaven with God and the angels. May you rest in peace and be with all of your family that have left this world. I know you will be watching over us unc. Love you Debbie
