Timothy Albert Geraghty (“Tim”) was born on October 16, 1944, in Baltimore, Maryland to Richard John Geraghty, Sr. and Carrie Margaret Geraghty (née Willback). He passed peacefully on March 18, 2026, at the Hooper House. Tim was one of five boys, preceded in death by Richard, Martin, and William and survived by Jerome. Tim was married to his loving wife, Lorraine, for over 55 years, and together they raised four children: Terry (Larry), Carl, Laurrie (Scott), and Kelly (Keith). He was a devoted grandfather to his 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
When Tim was young, he lived in Waverly near the old Memorial Stadium where he made many lifelong friends and played many sports. He was a proud alum of Calvert Hall. As a teenager, Tim began working for the Baltimore Orioles. He held a variety of roles, ultimately becoming the ticket manager until 1985. He went on to have a successful career in the mortgage banking industry until he retired.
To have Tim as a friend was to have a “pal” for life. He cherished friendships that spanned decades and was unwaveringly loyal. Tim had a gift for stories and never missed a chance to share one. Anyone who knew Tim counted him as a lifelong friend.
There were many things Tim was passionate about in his life. He had a deep love for sports and enjoyed cheering for the Orioles, the Ravens, and Chelsea. He enjoyed NASCAR, horse racing, and most importantly, cheering on his grandkids at their sporting events. He spent numerous summers vacationing in Ocean City, Maryland with his family.
However you knew Tim - husband, father, son, pop, brother, uncle, friend - your life was brighter and richer for it. Until we meet again, Pal.
