

Beverly Mildred (Wilson) Bell passed away peacefully at her home in Belton, MO on Monday, January 5, 2026, at the age of 89. Bev was born in Topeka, KS, where she graduated from Topeka High School in 1954.
Bev was a homemaker until the youngest of her seven children started school. As a homemaker, she loved reading, sewing, gardening, cooking and staying up late baking cookies for the kids’ school lunches. Bev then entered the workforce at the Belton School Cafeteria serving lunches. After leaving the Belton School District, she went to work as an embroideress for a few local companies: the Little Shirt Company, Grace Company, and King Louie International, from which she retired. Bev was a member of Saint Sabina Catholic Church of Belton.
Beverly is survived by her husband Richard (Dick) Bell of their home, and seven kids: David (Sandy) Bell; Stan (Sharon) Bell; Jeff Bell; Greg (Deborah) Bell; Phil (Diana) Bell; Becky Smith; and Andy Bell, as well as eight grandkids: Jennifer Bell, Darren Bell, Joshua Bell, Britney (Smith) Borges, Jerica (Bell) Worthy, Andrew Bell, Matthew Smith, and Chris Smith, and one great-grandchild, Benjamin Bell, with two more on the way. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She maintained her kindness, grace, compassion, and love of family and friends until the end, and expressed gratitude for her long life, full of wonderful and varied experiences.
Beverly is preceded in death by her parents Harrison Elijah and Ethel Juanita Wilson and 9 siblings: Harriet June Lynch, Harry (Bud) Wilson, Robert (Bob) Wilson, Walter Richard Wilson, Sam Wilson, Ethel Grover, Bea Leach, Sue Wiget, and Stephen (Steve) Wilson.
Beverly was loved and will be missed by everyone.
Visitation will be at Saint Sabina Catholic Church, Belton, Missouri Friday, February 20, 2026 at 10:00am with a Rosary to follow at 10:30am. Memorial Mass then will follow at 11:00am, followed by a graveside service at Belton Cemetery.
