Carol Jeanne Hylton

April 11, 1938 - November 1, 2025

On November 1, 2025, Carol J. Dirkschneider Quick Hylton, of Belton, MO passed away at age 87.

Carol was born in Pilot Grove Missouri on April 11, 1938 to Frank J. Dirkschneider and Mary Frances Wilson Dirkschneider.

She graduated from Belton High School in 1956. She went to school to learn computers and started working for City Service Oil Company in Kansas City, Missouri. She eventually attended cosmetology school and ran Mr. Richards Beauty Salon for many years.

On September 20, 1958 she married Richard F. Quick. They had three daughters, Dr. Annette Quick (John Marencik), Natalie Vogt (Michael), Brenda Vaughn (David). Richard Quick, her husband of 35 years passed away on December 2, 1993.

Carol was blessed to find Duane E. Hylton and they were married March 21, 1997. They enjoyed 27 years together until his death on February 15, 2025.

The greatest joy in Carol's life was hosting large family gatherings. She loved to lavish her family with many gifts and food and make sure friends and family felt welcome in her home.

She is survived by daughters, Annette Quick, Natalie Vogt and Brenda Vaughn. Grandchildren, Christine Huggins, Kenneth Vaughn (Meghean), Karen Mefford (Jason), Richard Vaughn (Sara), Ana Vogt and Jason Vogt. Great-grandchildren, Irelynn and Ella Huggins and Ariyana Kelce; Kennedy, Morghean and Kaylea Vaughn; Gwen, Emmett and Avery Mefford; Caroline and David Vaughn. She is also survived by her loving sisters, Vivian Ellis and Mary Lindsey.

Carol was preceded in death by husbands, Richard F. Quick and Duane E. Hylton; brothers Eugene and Frankie Dirkschneider; sisters, Joyce Lohner and Martha Sue Newhouse.
