Chris Venable, 72, died July 31,2019 at her Belton residence. She was born July 22,1947 in Detroit, MI the daughter of Arthur and Rosemary (O’Connor) Beethway. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 32 years, Dean Venable of Warsaw, MO.
Chris attended Assumption Grotto Catholic School in Detroit, MI. Early in life she enjoyed baking and preparing wedding cakes as a hobby at a local bakery near her childhood home. Chris was a homemaker living in Belton, MO with her husband Dean and shared in the ownership and operation of their Handi-Man Plumbing and Service business. Dean and Chris retired and moved to their lake home they built at Truman Lake Reservoir in Warsaw, MO. Chris cherished above everything else spending time and caring for her family.
Surviving is her daughter Rebecca Holt and spouse Greg Hastie, Belton; stepdaughter Terri Batchelder and spouse Randy, Belton; stepson Mike Venable, Belton; four grandchildren Matthew Kunsch, Belton, Devin Holt, Belton, Michael Venable and Whitney Venable, California; three great grandchildren Skylar, Mcynze and Landin Kunsch; two brothers David Beethway and spouse Karen, Michigan; John Beethway, Michigan; one sister Beverly Garbarino (Beethway) and spouse Mike, Michigan.
A visitation and memorial service celebrating her life will be held Tuesday, August 6 at McGilley & George Funeral Home, 611 Chestnut St., Belton MO 64012. Visitation will be 10-12 PM followed by funeral service. Interment will be in the Belton Cemetery.
