I first met Roni Lane Clark over 25 yrs ago and we became instant friends. If you hung out with Roni you also spent time with brother Ed sometime in the night. I remember meeting Ed one of the first times at Michaels place in Martin City. Well when Ed walks in every girls head turned and looks at the handsome man with the beautiful long hair and some of the guys not knowing it was Ed.Looking like Fabio, he would flip his hair off his shoulders as he smiled and walked by.:) I saw Ed as my little brother as Roni has been my twisted sister since we met at work Bhthe. I remember how he would stomp his boot real hard and loud and we would sing into a beer bottle like it was our mike. We would sing Garth Brooks We got friends in low places. We'll now I have another brother and friend in Heaven. You'll always have a place in my heart and will truly be missed. Luv you brother Ed....RIP

The Fowler family lights a candle in your honor Ed Lane. Our families have been intertwined for many years and we all are saddened with the news of your passing. The only thing that makes it a little easier is knowing that you're in heaven with my dad listening to all the stories he has to tell you. You will forever be in our hearts.

I had not seen Ed in quite some time but I wish I had gotten to see him one more time. The years seem to go by so fast and while it seemed like just yesterday it had turned into years. Ed was a great fun loving guy and will be sorely missed by many. As a sister my heart truly aches for Roni and his other siblings I could not imagine losing my childhood best friend. And as a parent I could not imagine the grief his parents are experiencing. I hope all your heartaches turn into happy memorable moments of Ed. Ed sorry you had to go so soon. I wish you the best in the afterlife; god apparently wanted his son home.

While I had not seen Ed for many years what I will always remember is that when he walked in the room he lit it up with that smile of his. My condolences to the entire Lane family!  While I only knew Ed in High School he always had a smile on his face!  It seems as though he managed to keep that smile on his face throughout his life! I used to hang out with  Ed and play darts in the basement years ago. He must have beat me a hundred times before I beat him once.Rest in peace love you buddy.

I have often remembered  of the great times had w/ the Lane Gang.  Many fun memories ! Out thoughts and prayers are with the Lane family.

Ed lived life to the fullest. It's been fun being his Uncle since marrying his Aunt 43 years ago. Never a dull moment and always fun to be around and to party with. Going to miss him. RIP nephew.

I was shocked when Barb called me with the news about Ed's passing.  He was way too young to be taken away from his loved ones. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
