Kacie Mireya Johnson

Kacie Mireya Johnson was born on November 27, 2018. She lived for three glorious days and passed away on November 30, 2018. At 25 weeks gestation Kacie’s family received news of her lethal diagnosis. Her family was uncertain if they would get to meet and spend time with Kacie, but chose to carry on in hopes of a miracle. Born on her due date, Kacie was a tiny warrior who defied odds. Kacie is survived by her parents, Matthew and Emily Johnson, her big sister Langstynn, paternal grandparents, Hal Johnson, Melissa and husband Tim Swayne; maternal grandparents, Steve and wife Mary Hayde, Jamie and husband Mike Logan, as well as her great-grandparents, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a large extended family. Though her time on this Earth was short, Kacie changed and bettered the lives of all who learned her story, and she will be loved forever. A special thank you to Cathy Gordon from New Birth Company, Patti Lewis from Alexandra’s House and Cori Jones from Carousel - Kansas City Hospice. Informal services will be held at the Firestone Chapel (building B) at Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, KS at 10:00 AM on December 15, 2018. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to Alexandra’s House in Kacie’s honor.
