October 5, 1960 – October 8, 2025
Linda Ann Morrow passed away peacefully at home on October 8, 2025, in Belton, Missouri. Born in Dallas on October 5, 1960, Linda spent her life enriching the lives of those around her with compassion, curiosity, and a deep love for her community.
She is survived by her beloved family: her son Christopher Lancaster and his wife Jennifer, and grandchildren Elizabeth, Cassandra, and Frances; her daughter Amy Solecki and her husband John, and grandchildren Joe and Hannah. Linda is also survived by her brothers John Morrow (Tami) and Matthew Morrow (Cheryl), and her sister Donna Ransom (Chuck). She was preceded in death by her parents, Win and Fran Morrow, and her sister Sharon.
Linda enjoyed a fulfilling 20-year career with FedEx, where her dedication and excellence were recognized with five national customer service awards. She embraced her passions with enthusiasm—from volunteering with hot air balloon crews to tirelessly supporting local authors and artists. A lifelong learner, she found joy in exploring new languages, including Spanish and Japanese, and skills, even earning a certification in welding.
Deeply committed to public service, Linda completed the Cass County Sheriff’s Department Citizens Academy and went on to serve as an Auxiliary Volunteer with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office. She was also a lifetime member of the NRA.
Linda’s curiosity led her to explore many new interests throughout her life. Later on, she took up target shooting and enjoyed participating in shooting competitions. Music was also a lifelong passion—she played tuba in her high school marching band and later learned to play the sousaphone, guitar, and banjo.
Her love for animals led her to volunteer with rescue organizations, and over the years, she opened her home and heart to many rescue dogs and cats, offering them a life filled with comfort and care.
Linda’s warm spirit, boundless curiosity, and generous heart will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at McGilley & George Funeral Home in Belton, Missouri. In keeping with Linda’s wishes, this will not be a formal or ceremonious funeral, but a relaxed gathering for family and close friends to share memories and honor her life. Casual attire is encouraged.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Wayside Waifs in Linda’s honor.
