

Raymond P. Grosko, age 86, of Raymore, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016. Raymond was born February 6, 1930 in Kansas City, KS. He attended DeLaSalle and Bishop Ward high schools, and after graduating from Ward in 1948 he joined the US army where he honorably served for 4 years. He then attended Rockhurst College on the GI Bill, and graduated in 1958 with a degree in Philosophy. Raymond then went to work for TWA and later Ford Motor Company where he retired after 29 years in 1990. He married Mary Teresa Barnett September 5, 1959, and devoted his life to being a loving husband and caring father to four children.
Raymond was preceded in death by his father Joseph, his mother Anna (Chernaga), two sisters - Anne and Irene, four brothers - Frank, Joe, Paul and Lawrence, and his wife Mary Teresa. He is survived by a host of family including his two sisters - Betty and Marcy, his son Raymond, his son and daughter-in-law Tom and Marla Grosko, his son and daughter-in-law Mike and Barbara Grosko, and his daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Brian Buford. He is also survived by his eight adoring grandchildren, Jessica Buford, Gordon Grosko, Tabitha Grosko, Danica Grosko, Mason Grosko, Vanessa Grosko, Sydney Buford, Hannah Grosko, and three great grandchildren Aliyana, Adrian, and Annabelle.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 20, at St. Sabina Catholic Church, 700 Trevis Ave., Belton, MO 64012. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the church beginning at 9:00 am. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Sabina Catholic Church.
