

Alice M. Elflein, 72 of Beverly Hills, Florida died on Thursday, May 6, 2010. Alice was born in Queens, New York to Aiden and Marion (O'Hara) Barrett. She was a retired vice president for the New York Telephone Bell System and moved to this area 14 years ago from Masapequa, Long Island, New York. Alice was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, where she was involved with the Social Ministry and the Quilting Bee. She was a member of the Bell System Telephone Pioneers of America. Alice enjoyed playing tennis, jogging and walking and loved her cats. Her husband Jack Elflein preceded her in death on November 11, 2001 and also, she was preceded by two brothers and four sisters. Survivors include her daughter, Lynn McGuinnes and husband Henry Sevor of Citrus Springs, Florida; brothers, George William Barrett and wife Dorothy of Salisbury, Maryland and Robert Barrett and wife Dorothy of Citrus Springs, FL; grandchildren, Melinda McLean and husband Bob of Courtice, Ontario, Canada, Courtney Sharps of Davenport, Florida, Chris McGuinness and fiancee Susan of Ocala, Florida, Brittany and Tasha Elflein, both of Long Island, New York and many nieces and nephews including nieces; Gwendolyn Montalbano of Beverly Hills, Florida, Deirdre Barrett-Murray and husband Brian of Beverly Hills, Florida and Adrienne Campbell and husband Scott of San Francisco, California and nephews; Gregory Gradolfer and wife Dionne of Orlando, Florida and Jason Koronakos of Valley Stream, New York.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, May 8, 2010 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Fero Funeral Home, 5955 N. Lecanto Highway, Beverly Hills, Florida with a chapel service at 4:00 PM. Burial will follow at Fero Memorial Gardens.
