He was born in Allentown Pa. He is predeceased by his father, Morris Maenllwyd Hughes and Anne Hughes. Dale was graduated from William Allen High School, and Wilkes College.
Dale was employed by The Easton Express newspaper, in Easton, PA, Celwa Products and lastly at Automatic Data Processing (ADP) as a computer programmer.
After retiring, he and his wife Caryn, left their New Jersey home, moved to Florida and traveled; hiking many of our national parks.
He is survived by his wife Caryn, sister Alice Beth Lee, brother James, sister-in-law Dina, niece Jenna, nephew Daniel. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Nicora Manwaring and brother-in-law Robyn Gangi and 16 nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
Dale was quietly generous with a keen sense of humor (which he got from his father). He also was a good conversationalist and avid reader (which he got from his mother) who loved being outdoors, riding his bike and playing pickleball and tennis. He enjoyed long bike rides with his special biking friends. He will be missed.
A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to any charity of your choice in Dale's name. Arraignments are being handled by Fero Funeral Home, Beverly Hills, Florida.
