

In life, Dorothy Karen Clark was many things. Known for her wit, truthfulness, and candor she was born on September 15, 1935, in Peebles, Ohio to Robert and Veryl Clark. She enjoyed many unique and wonderful adventures with her brother Joseph Clark (preceded in death) and her sister Kitty Born. After the family moved to Portsmouth Ohio, Karen attended Portsmouth High School and graduated class of 1953. She then went on to get a degree in Business at Portsmouth Business College. She worked many jobs in her life but eventually retired from Walmart Corporation.
She managed to raise ten children and prepare them to launch out on their own unique life adventure. Joseph List Tovine, (preceded in death), John Thomas Tovine (preceded in death), Mary Louise McElmurray, Rita Jane Davis, Vera Marie Steury, Christopher Anthony Tovine, William Tovine, Kathy Sue Cummins, Karen Corns (preceded in death) David Seaman, Ray Heim (preceded in death).
She loved her grandchildren and cared for them well with words of encouragement, gifts, and her presence. These grandchildren are: Heather McManus, Jason Tovine, Mary Lynne Kemp, Dustin McElmurray, Steven Gardner, Erin Lintz, Bethany Wells, Benjamin Steury, Brenden Steury, Amber Marie Tovine, Michael and Alessandra Tovine, Brian Wasdin, Mallory Barbuto, Rachel Black, Madison Holder, Sarah Peltier, David Seaman, Ryan Seaman, Wessley Heim, Shannon Heim. (And a myriad of sons and daughters in law as well)
Others who are sad at her passing are her 11 great grandchildren and her nine nieces and nephews.

A celebration ceremony of Dorothy’s life will be announced.
