He was born in Manhattan, NY on January 18, 1938.
Fred was married to Jeanette Bermudez.
Fred first worked as a barber, then later became a cross-country truck driver due to his love of the open road. He was a poet at heart and even wrote a book titled “Inspirational Poems from America’s Roads”. He also enjoyed drawing, painting, and carpentry. Fred served in the U.S. Navy and received a National Defense Service Medal. He was also a member of the Spanish-American Club in Inverness, FL.
Fred is survived by his wife Jeanette Bermudez, daughter Lisa Meloche, Ferdinand Jr., Johnathan (Erica) their son Jasper, stepdaughter Gina Williams, sister Josephine Cook, and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his father Pedro Rodriguez, mother Juaquina Pacheco, daughter Stacy, brother Louis, and sisters Hilda, Gloria, and Eva.
A memorial service for Fred will be held on Tuesday June 4, 2024 at 12pm at Fero Funeral Home & Life Celebration Center, 5955 N. Lecanto Hwy. Beverly Hills, FL 34465. Followed by a light lunch.
