

Bob joined the United States Air Force in 1958 and retired as a Master Sergeant after 27 years of service to his country. During his military career, Bob traveled extensively throughout the world. He was in the Missile Training Squadron in California; the Transportation Squadron in Greenland and then attended Broadcasting training in Washington, DC. During his time in the Armed Forces Radio & Television Service Bob traveled to Japan, Florida, Taiwan, Washington, Germany, Portugal, Texas and Turkey. In 1985 he joined the Civil Service and worked in Dayton, Ohio and San Angelo, Texas. He retired from the Civil Service after 15 years of service.
Bob enjoyed softball, travel, swimming, telling jokes and collecting pictures of dead presidents.
Bob is survived by his wife, Connie Beck. Connie and Bob were married December 14, 1972. He is also survived by his 6 children: Teri Curwick of North Caroline; Wanda Prater of Texas; Laura Beck-Howe of Maryland; Robert Beck of Mississippi; Robin Carmichael of Texas and Ken Beck of Florida. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Camilla Prater of Texas; Michaela Mcallister of Tennessee; Danielle and Cori Beck of New York; Austin Howe of Washington; Vivien and Chance Willet and Caleb Carmichael; and Lauren and Kaitlyn Beck of Florida. Bob was preceded in death by his grandson, Greyson Howe.
A Celebration of Bob’s life will be held Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 11 AM at
Fero Funeral Home, Beverly Hills, Florida.
