Gilberte Marie Stanavage

Gilberte Marie Stanavage, 99 of Beverly Hills, FL and formerly of Glastonbury, CT, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2016 at Citrus Memorial Hospital. She was born August 2, 1917, to Flora and Armand Lareau in Lowell, MA. She later moved to Hartford, CT and was employed by Colt’s Firearms Gun Manufacturing Corporation. She also worked for the Olivetti Underwood Corporation in Hartford and Land of Fashion in Manchester and Wethersfield, CT.

She was pre-deceased by the love of her life, Walter Stanavage, in December, 2010. She was also pre-deceased by five brothers: Raymond, Rene, Peter, Leo and Gabriel Lareau and one sister: Claire Montie. She leaves behind her sister, Irene Trymer of Connecticut and her three daughters: Darlene O’Connell (Howard) of Glastonbury, CT, Susan Aglio (Samuel) of Beverly Hills, FL and Bettina Marks (Gary) of Beverly Hills, FL. She also leaves behind five grandchildren: Lisa Hubbard of Ellington, CT, Maureen Nelson (Brandt) of Plainville, CT, Michael O’Connell (Danielle) of Glastonbury, CT, Angela Herold of Jacksonville, FL and Andrea Marks of Orlando, FL. She also leaves behind ten great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

Visitation is Thursday, August 25th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Catholic Mass will be held at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Beverly Hills at 9:30 am on Friday, August 26th. Internment following the mass at Fero Memorial Gardens, Beverly Hills.
