

Harry Thomas Gant, passed away at home June 21, 2024, in Beverly Hills, FL. He was born on Dec. 28, 1942 in Christopher, IL to Harry M. and Lorene (Thomas) Gant. Harry earned his bachelor’s and master’s degree in business from Bradley University. He served in the U.S. Army at Ft. Leavenworth, KS. Before retiring to Beverly Hills from Racine, WI, he was Vice President of Finance at Young Radiator Company, division controller at Dremel, supervising senior auditor at Emerson Electric and a CPA performing audits for KPMG.
In his retirement in Beverly Hills, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus, where he helped staff the kitchen, and Our Lady of Grace Catholic church, where he volunteered to feed homeless people. He also volunteered his time transporting vets to Shands Hospital and as a business advisor for SCORE.
Harry loved his family and fishing. He had a strong work ethic and was generous and kind to everyone.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Dietz Gant and his son and daughter-in-law, Brad (Christina) Gant, and two grandsons, Stephen Gant and Jonathan Gant. He was predeceased by his first wife Patricia Gant and his brother, Danny Gant (KY).
A funeral service for Harry will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 6 Roosevelt Blvd, Beverly Hills, FL 34465. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Harry Gant to Our Lady of Grace building fund.
